DATA CABLING

In the dark ages (pre-1985) when cabling a building for voice and data systems, installers would probably have used a variety of outlets, connectors and proprietary cabling systems.
 
Whilst these cabling components were initially satisfactory for set-up of individual workstations, the dynamic needs of business soon brought about expensive overheads. Whenever individual workstations needed to be relocated, new cabling would usually be installed, this being disruptive and time consuming - not to mention costly.
 
Today however, structured cabling standards have evolved to use Optical Fibre, Unshielded Twisted Pair or Shielded Twisted Pair cable and are independent of Data type, computer system or building layout. These highly flexible systems allow cost savings at installation, commissioning and throughout the life of the system while increasing the reliability and manageability of information transmission - your IT system’s foundation.
